Yahweh the one true God
What makes Yahweh the One True God? The Bible affirms there are multiple elohim (gods). Elohim does not denote specific attributes; it implies a being in the spirit or supernatural realm.
Only the God of Israel, Yahweh, has certain attributes. He is an elohim but no other elohim is Yahweh.
The biblical writers give only Yahweh certain attributes. He is the creator. He is sovereign. His is omnipotent and omniscient. These attributes are denied to all others. Yahweh of Israel is unique. He is the God of gods.
Studying God and the supernatural realm
