A Bible college, which can also be titled a Bible institute or theological institute, is a Christian institution of higher education, born from the Protestant tradition. These establishments intend to prepare students for ministry within the Christian church, as well as equip them for outreach to those not within the church. It does this by providing theological education, Biblical studies and practical ministry training. The AWKNG School of Theology believes that all Christians, regardless of calling, must be equipped to think critically and clearly about the Bible by understanding it as a story complete in itself, as well as to view it in its original context, which contains an important and often overlooked supernatural worldview.

What is an Accredited Bible College?

A great number of accredited Bible schools and Bible colleges are found in the United States and Canada, but they are found all over the world. There are over one thousand Bible schools and Bible colleges in North America alone, and nearly all of these Bible colleges can be accessed online so that students from all over the world can attend them. An accredited Bible school will firstly help students achieve an undergraduate degree, but some will additionally offer graduate degrees, lower-level associate degrees, or certificates and diplomas in certain fields of Christian training where a full degree is not required or attainable. AWKNG Theology School has a partnership with Redemption Seminary, so here you are able to earn master’s credit hours even if you do not have a bachelor’s degree. You can earn credit hours towards a 36-hour Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS) by completing our courses.

Bible College Online Options

Led by world-renowned Bible scholar Dr. Michael S. Heiser, AWKNG School of Theology aims to interpret the Bible in the context that produced it instead of today’s Christian tradition or modern thinking. Students that attend will discover a radical new relevance and coherence when they read the Bible through the eyes of the ancient writers in the context they were producing this collection of world-changing books. By attending online you will find your eyes open to the supernatural meta-narrative of the Bible; for many it has the sensation of reading the Bible for the first time again.

Our Online Bible School

There are currently four courses accessible through our online Bible school portal. In Unseen Realm 101 Dr. Michael S. Heiser uncovers what the Bible really says about the unseen world of the supernatural. Starting with the Old Testament, students systematically and progressively journey into the ancient worlds of the Old Testament and learn about the historical and cultural contexts of the Bible’s original authors, what influenced them, what their spiritual world-view was, and what ancient audiences came to the scriptures already understanding. This thread of study continues in Unseen Realm 102, where Dr. Heiser builds on the concepts developed in Unseen Realm 101, with the significant transition to the New Testament. The course continues by picking up the supernatural plot line of the Bible, which rises to climax as God establishes his natural and supernatural family in the book of Revelation. The other two courses currently offered by AWKNG School of Theology are Contemporary Post-Modern Apologetics 201 (Old Testament) where Dr. Michael S. Heiser focuses on the controversies raised by the Old Testament that amount to criticisms in today’s conversation and consideration of the Bible as a reliable source of spiritual, theological, and historical truth. Completing this study is Contemporary Post-Modern Apologetics 202 (New Testament) where Dr. Heiser continues to build on the work done in Contemporary Post-Modern Apologetics 201, this time focusing on the similar issues and controversies found in the New Testament.

Our additional non-accredited courses offer expanded content by Dr. Heiser that you cannot get anywhere else. They have been created in consideration of anyone who also desires to go deeper in biblical knowledge of the issues and themes explored in the accredited courses. Because of the nature of the online Bible college these are available anytime and anywhere, online and on-demand. They are able to be completed in accordance with your schedule, and your pace, so long as they fall within the course’s start and end dates. AWKNG courses are designed for the busy adult. The average AWKNG student spends four hours a week on a course module, which includes completing an assignment, watching a one-hour video lecture, and completing an online quiz.
